ADI is a health and development organization working in Papua New Guinea. We work in partnership with local government and health services to strengthen rural health systems, provide services to rural communities and build the capacity of local health workforces.

ADI is seeking an experienced, innovative and ambitious individual to help us quickly raise funds for our COVID-19 response in Papua New Guinea and work with the new CEO to develop and implement a long-term integrated strategy for income growth and brand identity. Along with existing networks to tap into, you will bring vision and creativity to the role. Working with the small and passionate ADI team in Sydney and Papua New Guinea you will oversee internal and external communications, ensuring the message is consistent and engaging. This is a newly created role that you will be able to help influence and shape.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to ADI’s overall strategy and plan as a key member of the Senior Management Team
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive, innovative and integrated fundraising plan
  • Plan and oversee the execution of major gift fundraising drives
  • Work closely with the Finance Manager and CEO to plan clear short-term and long-term income targets and metrics
  • Build clear messaging and narratives to communicate and engage with ADI’s work to our different stakeholder groups
  • Work with the CEO on the production of ADI’s annual report

Skills and Experience

Essential:

  • Sound experience in the development of fundraising strategies
  • Demonstrated experience managing relationships with stakeholders and donors
  • Experience developing and implementing innovative programs to source funds for health and/or development organisations
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications

Preferred:

  • Understanding of the Papua New Guinea context

Duration:

6 months, part-time, 3-4 days per week, with possibility of extension, available to start as soon as possible.
