Position Objectives

Allied health professionals at AusCare Home & Community Care have autonomy within their practice whilst enjoying a team approach with administrative support. They also enjoy flexibility around work hours.

This is a maximum term opportunity, that is based at AusCare Auburn. You will report to the Clinical Lead and Operations Manager.

The key duties include:

The successful candidate will be someone who enjoys working with the elderly, and who can manage a varied caseload including:

  • Pain management
  • Orthopaedic rehabilitation
  • Neurological rehabilitation
  • Cardiorespiratory patients

We are always looking for Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists who want to make a real difference in the quality of life of aged care residents.

Key Selection Criteria

Essential Skills, Knowledge & Experience

  • Qualification in Occupational Therapy
  • Your holistic approach and skills in pain management and falls prevention will be highly valued
  • Certified Practising Membership with AHPRA, or eligibility to become a member
  • Current professional indemnity and public liability insurance (or the ability to obtain these before commencing clinical work)
  • Commitment to personal and professional quality improvement
  • As well as having excellent clinical skills, you must have a flexible and client-focused approach to your work
  • Excellent communication skills, an ability to build rapport and maintain strong relationships is highly desirable
  • Experience with the training and assessment of manual handling techniques is an advantage but not essential
  • Current Driver’s License and comprehensively insured and registered vehicle
