Position Objective

VETEA is looking for a Graphic Designer to create engaging and on-brand graphics for a variety of media. Your graphics should capture the attention of those who see them and communicate the right message. For this, you need to have a creative flair and a strong ability to translate requirements into design. If you can communicate well and work methodically as part of a team, we’d like to meet you.

The goal is to inspire and attract the target audience.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Study design briefs and determine requirements
  • Design web pages, brochures, logos, signs, books, magazine covers, annual reports, advertisements, and other communication materials
  • Create these materials by using technology, including computer software programs. Adobe's Creative Suite—including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and more—is the standard in the industry and most employers expect designers to be proficient with its programs
  • Meet with managers to gain an understanding of what they want their proposed communications to look like. Create or incorporate illustrations, pictures, and designs to reflect the desired theme and tone of the communications
  • Working with the marketing team to create sales materials
  • Designing, building and maintaining websites and all related design material
  • Coordinating with partners and stakeholders on website builds and marketing campaigns
  • Select type size and style to enhance the readability of text and image
  • Produce drafts for review by managers and make revisions based on the feedback received
  • Review final productions for errors and ensure that final prints reflect client specifications

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in graphic designing
  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field
  • A strong eye for visual composition
  • Able to give and receive constructive criticism by reading the content document
  • Understanding of marketing, production, website design, corporate identity, product packaging, advertisements, and multimedia design
  • A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics
  • Strong experience in working with design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop)
  • Ability to build and maintain websites on WordPress
  • A keen eye for aesthetics and details
  • Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines
  • Experience in HealthCare or related field is a plus

Competency requirements:

  • Communication skills: You must be able to confer advice and suggestions from managers, as well as understand what they want
  • Time management skills: You'll often find that you're juggling several projects almost simultaneously
  • Teamwork skills: Designers must be able to collaborate and get along with others when they work as part of a design and social media team
  • Technical skills: Expert with Adobe suite and knowledge of both typography & colour theory is critical
