We are the largest, most comprehensive Aboriginal Medical Health Service in Queensland.

Job Description

As a key member of the ATSICHS Brisbane team, the Senior Information Technology Advisor is expected to personally contribute to the shaping and achievement of ATSICHS vision and goals within their own scope. The Senior Information Technology Advisor will provide three (3) Key Functions

Role Functions

The Senior IT Advisor will lead the identification, application and design of system architectures to align with organisational strategic priorities. The Senior IT Advisor will ensure optimal performance of ATSICHS technical infrastructure and operational delivery of these services to the organisation. The Senior IT Advisor will research and provide advice on opportunities to improve security, agility and efficiency to the organisation’s IT infrastructure. The Senior IT Advisor will perform a key technical role within the Information Technology team, This will include: Design, setup, maintenance, troubleshooting and automation of systems deployments within cloud and on-premise hosted environments such as Microsoft Azure, AWS and VMWare. Develop and support of the Microsoft 365 environment. Develop and Support integration of Active Directory, Azure Active directory and other enterprise SaaS Line of Business applications. Develop and maintenance of a standard operating environment including baseline images and service and system deployment. Design, support and maintenance of on-premises core network infrastructure.

Desired Skills and Experience

Essential:

Qualification and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business or 5 relevant years’ experience in the field.
  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience in similar Information Technology related role.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Demonstrated ability working with Windows server, Office 365, Azure and cloud administration including Intune/SCCM.
  • Demonstrated ability maintaining secure systems and network infrastructure including firewalls, switches and cloud networking.
  • Demonstrated ability designing, supporting and maintaining enterprise level IT infrastructure in on-premise and cloud environments.
  • Demonstrated ability in PowerShell scripting, integrations and automation within an operational IT environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to build rapport and strong internal relationships with employees and Stakeholders Organisation wide.
  • Demonstrated ability to support and manage a continuous improvement model for achieving outcomes.
  • Decisive listening, influencing and persuasive skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet targets and performance outcomes.

Additional Requirements

  • Working with Children’s Card (Blue Card) or be eligible to apply
  • Current drivers’ licence

Desirable, but not mandatory:

  • Experience working within an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisation.
  • Experience working in an ITIL based environment
