About the role

As a key member of the ATSICHS Brisbane team, the Medical Receptionist is expected to personally contribute to the shaping and achievement of the ATSICHS vision and goals.

As a first point of contact the Medical Receptionist is required to ensure the patient flow is conducted with minimal interruptions by effectively using time management skills, informative communication skills while observing the overall demeanour of the patients in waiting.

Excellent patient care relies on the medical administration processes to be conducted in an accurate and time sensitive manner.

About you

Essential:

  • Minimum Certificate III Administration
  • Previous experience working in a medical administration role
  • Previous experience in working with culturally diverse people
  • Demonstrated ability to meet targets and performance outcomes.
  • An ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Suite Applications
  • Sound knowledge of Medical Administration Processes e.g. referrals, booking patients, scanning confidential records
  • Sound knowledge of MBS
  • Working with Children's Card (Blue Card) or be eligible to apply

Desirable but not mandatory:

  • Previous experience in MMEX
  • Previous experience of working with Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander clients
