About the Role

As a key member of the ATSICHS Brisbane team, the Dental Technician Provides a range of dental technology services from assisting the Dentist through to expert knowledge in the area of dental prostheses construction. Furthermore, the Technician will complete professional manufacturing of a variety of dental cosmetic and prosthetic products and educate patients in hygiene practices relating to denture prostheses. The Dental Technician will support processes that ensure the delivery of dental care is performed to the highest quality. Included activities involve CQI, contributing to policy implementation, audits and reporting of clinical incidents.

Duties

  • Provide quality support to the delivery of quality Dental Care.
  • Ensure quality control of dental equipment.
  • Understanding of the principles of oral health care and the ability to work cohesively with other professionals and the public as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated clinic experience, in particular the ability to implement and support oral health care team and effectively plan and coordinate own and team's workload to achieve results.
  • Demonstrated Competence in the use of clinical software systems and other technology, the internet and desktop applications e.g. outlook, EXACT, LogiQC, word, spreadsheets.
  • Commit to ongoing continuous quality improvement processes with annual reviews into the efficiency of clinical service provision.
  • Cultivate productive working relationships at all levels, which support the nurturing of internal and external relationships, facilitates cooperation, trust and respect, values differences and diversity and guides, mentors and focuses on the development of staff.

Benefits

  • Base salary of $80,322 per annum pro rata.
  • 1.5% Super + access to salary packaging (Increases your take home pay).

  • Immunisation history showing you have received two doses of a Covid -19 vaccine is encouraged.

Desired Skills and Experience

Required

  • Diploma of Dental Technology or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years’ experience as a Dental Technician.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet targets and performance outcomes.
  • Ability to support a continuous improvement model for achieving outcomes.
  • Decisive listening, influencing and persuasive skills.
  • Working with Children’s Card (Blue Card) or be eligible to apply.

Preferred

  • Previous experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
