About the Role:

As a key member of the ATSICHS Brisbane team at Jimbelunga, the Environmental Services Officer role is to participate in the care of residents by providing domestic services such as cooking meals, meal service, laundry and cleaning of both residential environments and common areas.

About You:

Skills, Competencies, Qualifications, Education and Experience

  • A demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander societies and their cultures and a general understanding of the issues that are affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in contemporary Australian society.
  • Ensure a high level of hygiene and cleanliness is maintained throughout the building of the Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Residential Facility.
  • Sound knowledge of chemical/s handling, usage and storage.
  • High level understanding of Infection Control.
  • A demonstrated record of punctuality, able to use sound judgement and able to work unsupervised.
  • Satisfactory communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A demonstrated ability to interpret and implement Work, Health and Safety requirements.
  • Must have "National Criminal History Record Check" or "National Police Certificate" prior to commencing.
  • Must complete the NDIS online learning module and provide certificate of completion: https://www.ndiscommission.gov.au/workers/support-for-workers/training-course
