About the Role            

The Endorsed Enrolled Nurse (EEN) provides high level care to Jimbelunga residents as directed by the Registered Nurse and Manager.

The EEN will also observe and report changes in resident status, assist with Nursing Care, medication administration, monitor and document residents care needs and, implement and evaluate residents care plans as directed by RN/Manager.

Furthermore the EEN will be responsible for monitoring personal care given by AIN's, in accordance with ATSICHS Board of Management objectives, within legislative and regulatory requirements.

About you

Essential

  • A demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander societies and their cultures and a general understanding of the issues that are affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in contemporary Australian society.
  • Highly developed observational, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
  • Sound understanding of the AACQA standards and also the requirements of ACFI.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with minimal supervision within a multi-disciplinary team in the delivery of Aged Care Services.
  • Effective organisational and time management skills which include prioritising workloads.
  • Sound clinical skills with a demonstrated commitment to maintaining best practice, relevant and current nursing skills.
  • Strong conflict and resolution skills.
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Registration Authority (AHPRA).
  • Must have "National Criminal History Record Check" or "National Police Certificate" prior to commencing.
