Alice Springs Hospital (ASH) is the major acute hospital for Central Australia, with 186 Beds, serving up to 60,000 people including visitors to the region. We are seeking an experienced social worker to join our team, with an approved Social work degree and a citizenship/visa that supports employment. The primary objective of this ASH social work position is to deliver high quality, culturally appropriate and effective Social Work acute and sub-acute services. This position will require the applicant to have proven clinical, management or supervisory experience to facilitate and support team functioning in a pressured acute hospital setting. You will work as part of the MDT, ensuring that patients and their families have access to relevant support services, which can assist in meeting their needs, and ensuring safe discharge once their psychosocial issues have been addressed. You will provide culturally appropriate, effective, efficient and contemporary Social Work assessment and intervention services, meeting the needs of Alice Springs Hospital patients, their families and significant others.
