The Remote Services Team provides family support services to vulnerable children and their families residing in remote communities including; Angurugu, Jabiru, Lajamanu (Hooker Ck), Maningrida, Ngukurr-Roper River, Ramingining, Wadeye-Port Keats, Wurrumiyanga (Nguiu –Bathurst Is).

About the role

As a Remote Services Practitioner you are responsible for delivering evidence based and culturally competent case work and case management services to vulnerable children and their families, working collaboratively to enhance the safety and capacity of families and communities to care for their children and young people, and providing intensive family support where place-based intervention is the safest and most effective approach.

To be successful, you require an Australian tertiary qualification, eligibility for membership of a relevant professional body, demonstrated experience in conducting strengths based assessments and the ability to develop, implement and monitor case planning processes.

In addition, you require to have demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture, family and community structures, and the ability to communicate and work in a culturally safe manner.

Senior Remote Services Practitioners are required to demonstrate more extensive skills and experience in strengths based assessments, case planning processes and the professional development of the P1 practitioners.
