As the Manager, Southern Region Child Protection you are responsible for managing the delivery of statutory and non-statutory welfare services, providing effective leadership and professional support to staff, and managing the human and financial resources of the work unit. In addition, you are required to develop and maintain effective, collaborative partnerships and strategic alliances with internal and external stakeholders.

To be successful, you require an Australian tertiary qualification, eligibility for membership of a relevant professional body and extensive post-graduate experience in the delivery of welfare services, including experience in management, supervision and coordinating of a team. Demonstrated strategic, conceptual and analytical skills, including the ability to lead, motivate and support staff to achieve outcomes, build effective teams and relationships is essential.

In addition, you will have demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, family and community structures, an ability to communicate and work in a culturally safe manner, and a willingness to travel remotely.
