Territory Families, Housing and Communities (THFC) takes a whole-of-life approach to addressing the vulnerabilities in our society through providing support services to create positive change for children, families, communities and seniors across the Northern Territory.

Our Regional Services and Communities Division provides support services across child protection, domestic and family violence, early intervention to ensure the best outcome for the child and their family.

As the Executive Director, you provide high-level strategic advice to the General Manager and TFHC leadership team; lead the development of business cases for the funding of new programs and reform initiatives, and oversee the management of procurement planning processes and the selection of service providers.

In addition, you will lead and develop a team of dedicated professionals to achieve a high standard of service and advice, build strong networks and collaborative partnerships across the Greater Darwin region, and ensure all Families programs are evidence based and grounded in operational realities. This ensures they are responsive to the needs of children, young people and their families in the region.

To meet the challenges of this strategic role you need demonstrated experience in a senior executive leadership position driving and achieving objectives for human services frontline operation; extensive budget and people management experience and sound understanding of strategic planning and evidence based decision-making. Proven political acumen, the ability to inspire and influence outcomes, and a high level of cultural competence and extensive experience delivering programs across geographically diverse environments is essential.
