Since 1993, the Asylum Seekers Centre (ASC) in Sydney has provided a place of welcome, practical and personal support for people living in the community who are seeking asylum.
The Philanthropy and Partnerships team is responsible for creating, growing and enhancing fundraising initiatives and operations that enable the ASC to continue to support people seeking asylum in our community.
With a focus on scalable systems and programs to manage efficient fundraising operations, the team employ a practical and engaging approach to cultivating existing and new donor relationships.
The Fundraising Community Engagement Coordinator builds interest in the work of the Asylum Seekers Centre (ASC) and engages the community through fundraising activities in support of the rights of people seeking asylum.
The key objectives of this role are to lead the Community Speakers’ Program, take responsibility for all aspects of community fundraising for ASC, and identify, recruit and engage supporters from various audiences to make ASC their charity of choice.
This role reports to the Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships and supports ASC’s fundraising team to develop, implement and evaluate fundraising strategies. It is a full time, permanent position.
Our ideal candidate will have tertiary qualifications in a relevant field and/or at least 2 years experience in a similar Fundraising role. Ideally, you will have:
