The Asylum Seekers Centre (ASC), Sydney is a place of welcome and provides practical and personal support for people living in the community who are seeking asylum.
The Community Engagement Program aims to facilitate opportunities for culturally-appropriate connections and meaningful participation of people seeking asylum, within the Australian community.
The Community Participation Lead plays a significant role in identifying social and recreational supports available to people seeking asylum. The emphasis of this role is to facilitate engagement activities, introductions and pathways for people to access and participate within communities.
This is a full-time position for a fixed term of 12 months, with the possibility for extension.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, ASC is delivering services differently. The successful candidate must be flexible to work from the office or work remotely as necessary.
