About the role:

The main priority for the Health Projects and Partnerships Coordinator is to ensure the development, implementation and evaluation of strategic initiatives and projects across Tasmania. The role does this by working with local health agencies to drive referrals to Asthma Australia’s services, and influence the standard of care received through improvements to the policies and systems that support people with asthma.

An average day will see you:

  • Leading the initiation and implementation of funded projects in the health, school and community setting;
  • Working closely with staff across the country, to create a nationally consistent support program for consumers and health professionals, particularly in the sectors of schools and education, primary health care and hospitals;
  • Building relationships across key areas of health including Government, community and health professionals to embed Asthma Australia’s services in the health and community setting; and
  • Reporting on project deliverables and outcomes to ensure contract obligations are met.

This role works independently in Tasmania, but collaboratively with the support of your peers in other states.

About you:

You are passionate about empowering people to better manage their health and wellbeing.

You bring qualifications and experience in health, delivering fantastic outcomes across a range of community health projects.Your project management, partnership development and communication skills have been key to your success.

You have excellent people skills and are able to build strong working relationships with your peers, key stakeholders, health professionals and project partners at a range of levels.

You are a self-starter with the ability to work autonomously and manage your priorities with limited supervision. 

You will be valued for your proven strategic and innovative approach to new initiatives and project development and delivery.
