Founded in 2001, the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC) is Australia’s largest human rights organisation providing support to people seeking asylum. We are an independent not-for-profit organisation whose programs support and empower people seeking asylum to maximise their own physical, mental and social well being. We champion the rights of people seeking asylum and mobilise a community of compassion to create lasting social and policy change.

About The Role

Based in Footscray, and reporting to the Marketing and Brand Manager you will be responsible for the overall management of the ASRC’s websites and web platforms including the coordination of metadata, user experience and the integrity of all digital platforms and content delivery.

The role is responsible for the creation, management and optimisation of donation, supporter acquisition, consumer marketing, advocacy and supporter engagement pages to drive brand and product awareness across all online channels. This function optimises the online experience and thereby, the engagement of the ASRC’s supporters.

The successful candidate will be an expert in measuring, testing, reporting and applying digital metrics (Google Analytics and CRM) in order to offer strategic input and implementation of fundraising campaigns in collaboration with other departments and key program stakeholders.

The role is critical in supporting the wider Marketing and Brand team across the digital ecosystem to tell the story of the ASRC whilst building deeper engagement with our supporters by enhancing their online experience.

About You

The successful candidate will be a highly intelligent and talented professional with expert knowledge in social media communications.

In addition to your demonstrated experience in digital/online marketing or fundraising, you will possess the following skills and expertise:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of content management systems (CMS), digital project management, UX and data analytics and reporting
  • Experience in developing and implementing digital marketing campaigns
  • Experience in supporter journey mapping and strategy & implementation of paid social media and email marketing campaigns
  • Proven experience in digital project management, governance and delivery including writing guidelines for process and best practice
  • Solid knowledge of website analytics tools including Google Analytics and other Google tools such as Google Ads, Keyword Planner Tool
  • Demonstrable expertise in leading and managing SEO campaigns
  • Strong working knowledge of HTML and CSS and experience working with Wordpress
  • Exceptional organisational and planning skills including experience using systems for campaign planning
  • High level communication skills including the ability to work with and form relationships with a range of culturally diverse stakeholders

Lived experience of seeking asylum in Australia is highly desirable. Knowledge of policy and issues impacting on people seeking asylum in Australia as well as previous experience working within a not-for-profit environment, would also be advantageous. Salesforce knowledge is desirable.
