Founded 20 years ago, the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC) is Australia’s largest human rights organisation providing support to people seeking asylum. We are an independent not-for-profit organisation whose programs support and empower people seeking asylum to maximise their own physical, mental and social well being. We champion the rights of people seeking asylum and mobilise a community of compassion to create lasting social and policy change.

The ASRC is seeking an experienced, organised and intelligent ICT professional to join the new ASRC Dandenong Hub. The ICT Support Officer will be the first point of contact for all ICT related matters and will play a vital role in contributing to the smooth operations of the first-ever Refugee Resource Hub for people seeking asylum in South East Victoria, due to open in October 2021.
This is a critical role who will work closely with the ICT team in Footscray, and will be responsible for providing the following support:
The role will best suit a highly motivated team player with excellent communication and strong problem-solving skills and someone who takes initiative and puts the needs of their colleagues first.
The successful candidate will be a highly intelligent ICT professional with relevant education and training in an ICT qualification or a combination of relevant skills and work experience. The incumbent will also possess the following skills and expertise:
Lived experience of seeking asylum in Australia is highly desirable. Knowledge of policy and issues impacting on people seeking asylum in Australia would also be advantageous.
