Aspire Recovery Connection is a for-purpose organisation delivering mental health services in the community. We are a 100% Lived Experience organisation, providing recovery-oriented outreach services for people living with significant mental and emotional distress.

As a Peer Mentor you will work from a lived experience, human rights and strengths-based framework to support people towards their recovery goals.

You will have experience working in mental health and be committed to peer work values, trauma-informed and person-centred approaches.

You will apply because you are connected to the purpose and understanding of commitment to building, growing and sustaining connection and relationships.

IN ADDITION TO LIVED EXPERIENCE OF MENTAL DISTRESS, SOCIAL EXCLUSION AND/OR DISCRIMINATION, YOU WILL ALSO HAVE:

  • A minimum Certificate III in Community Services, with priority given to those with Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work (or currently studying this)
  • Experience working alongside people living with mental and emotional distress
  • Current DCSI Vulnerable Person's Clearance
  • Full South Australian Driver's license and registered and insured car (in good working order)
