Autism Spectrum Australia (Aspect) has grown to become Australia's largest national educational program for children on the autism spectrum, with 9 independent schools operating from 50 locations in NSW and South Australia catering to over 1,200 students, with more than 100 classes hosted on the grounds of a less specialised school.

About the School:

Aspect Western Sydney School provides placement for close to 160 children on the Autism spectrum from Kindergarten to year 12. Our main school is located at Wetherill Park with 13 satellite classes within the Catholic and Department of Education schools across the Western and South Western regions of Sydney.

About the role:

Overseeing an administrative team of up to 4 administration staff, you will lead professional and timely administration across all points of contact at the school, ensuring all systems are kept up to date and customer service is a positive experience for families and other stakeholders.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage school administration to a high level of accuracy and efficiency
  • Develop and implement complex office procedures to ensure management of site requirements
  • Lead administration projects as required to meet the school’s business plan
  • Lead and supervise the school administration team to provide excellent administration support to the school
  • Prepare and coordinate school employment contracts – using e-recruitment system (Scout)
  • Manage and process accounts and complex financial and administration data/information and provide financial analysis and advice to the Principal within area of responsibility

Skills, qualifications and experience:

  • Post secondary qualifications or relevant experience
  • Outstanding communication, organisational and time management skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Experience with accounting processes and procedures e.g. banking, reconciliation and payment of accounts
  • Capacity to work effectively as part of a team and independently
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality
  • Demonstrated ability to handle emergency and stressful situations professionally
  • NSW Working With Children Check for paid employment
  • Depending on the school’s location/requirements it may be essential to have a current driver’s licence 
  • A Light Rigid (LR) Driver’s licence is desirable
  • First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain
  • You may be required to provide an International Police Check clearance
