We are looking for a Human Resources Administrator, who is eager to develop their human resources skills in a generalist, operational role. You will work with the HR Manager in a small team, providing support to all staff within the organisation.

ASHM is a leading not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting professionals in the field of HIV, blood borne viruses (BBVs) and sexual and reproductive health (SRH).  We deliver training, develop the resources and guidelines, run the conferences and advocate passionately for the needs of our members and communities. Our members are physicians, nurses, researchers, epidemiologists, social workers, pharmacists and allied health workers – united to eliminate harm from these diseases and to protect our diverse communities.

About the Position

Some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Administrator for the organisation’s HRIS (Employment Hero)
  • Maintaining compliance of all staff in the HRIS
  • Assisting with recruitment, staff inductions, onboarding & off-boarding
  • Assisting with the development and maintenance of staff training plans
  • Being an active member of the WHS committee
  • Contributing to reviewing and updating HR policies

About You

With an interest in developing your human resources career, your current experience should include:

  • Qualifications in Human Resources, or working towards such a qualification
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, with the proven ability to build effective relationships across a diverse range of people
  • A positive attitude, eagerness to learn and a readiness to contribute towards a positive workplace environment
  • Proficiency with technology
  • Great attention to detail
  • Ability to deal with sensitive issues with empathy and maintain confidentiality at all times
  • A high level of professionalism
