About the Role:

You will be part of a dynamic and inclusive business enterprise that provides opportunities for people with disabilities to be employed alongside other trade-skilled team members, to maintain a wide variety of sites across the Coffs Harbour region for our commercial clients.

You will be hands on, leading the team from the front with a variety of gardening tasks, grounds maintenance and cleaning.

The environment is extremely supportive and friendly, and the role offers the opportunity to lead, guide and motivate.

What success looks like:

  • Experience within a landscape maintenance or horticulture industry
  • Self-motivated with a commitment to excellent customer service
  • High commitment to work to and demonstrate Aruma values
  • Willing and able to contribute to a supportive workplace for other team members, including encouraging inclusion, self-determination and participation of our employees with a disability
  • Promotes positive team relationships that reflect our values, working collaboratively and cooperatively to facilitate team results and effectiveness
  • Leads small teams, providing coaching and allocating and prioritising work between team members to meet contract specifications and scheduling
  • Immediately report any accidents, injuries, identified hazards and/or risks
  • Develop positive relationships with external customers, suppliers and contractors, promoting Aruma services through excellent customer service

Skills that make you stand out:

  • A trade and/or horticulture certificate or equivalent qualification; or equivalent knowledge and experience
  • Problem solving and technical skills to address maintenance, contract and scheduling issues
  • A high level of physical fitness to meet the manual handling requirements of the position
  • Sound verbal and written communication. Sound negotiation skills, able to resolve conflict and assess when to escalate issues
  • Sound organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload
  • Valid current driver's license
  • Working with Children Check (where required)
  • White card, and understanding of WHS requirements
