About the Role:

You will be part of a dynamic and inclusive business enterprise that provides opportunities for people with disabilities to be employed alongside other trade-skilled team members, to maintain a wide variety of sites for our commercial clients. You will be hands on, leading the team from the front with a variety of gardening tasks, grounds maintenance and cleaning.

The environment is extremely supportive and friendly, and the role offers the opportunity to lead, guide and motivate.

  • Leads small teams, providing coaching and allocating and prioritising work between team members to meet contract specifications and scheduling.
  • Immediately report any accidents, injuries, identified hazards and/or risks.
  • Develop positive relationships with external customers, suppliers and contractors, promoting Aruma services through excellent customer service.

Skills that make you stand out:

  • A trade and/or horticulture certificate or equivalent qualification; or equivalent knowledge and experience.
  • Problem solving and technical skills to address maintenance, contract and scheduling issues.
  • A high level of physical fitness to meet the manual handling requirements of the position.
  • Sound verbal and written communication. Sound negotiation skills, able to resolve conflict and assess when to escalate issues.
  • Sound organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload.
  • Valid current driver's license.
  • Working with Children Check.
  • White card, and understanding of WHS requirements
  • Formal team leadership training and/or equivalent knowledge and experience with demonstrated ability to supervise and support staff.
