Aruma is seeking a dedicated and passionate Speech Pathologist who will utilise their skills and knowledge in paediatric speech pathology to provide flexible family centred services to children with a disability and their families.

New graduates are encouraged to apply as Aruma provides training and supervision, a vibrant internal community of practice and collegiate support lead by an experienced manager!

You will join a fun and supportive trans-disciplinary team who are committed to making a difference in children's lives who have a disability and their families.

The successful applicant will:

  • Have tertiary qualifications in Speech Pathology
  • Membership of Speech Pathology Association of Australia
  • Assess the communication needs of children and adults utilising appropriate assessments and investigation processes
  • Develop professional relationships with families, which respect individual styles and acknowledge their strengths and capabilities.
  • Provide assistance and support to families to enable them to identify their priorities and make informed decisions.
  • Provide written assessment reports, including comprehensive recommendations, when necessary
  • To participate in the formulation, implementation and evaluation of individualised service plans.
  • To develop, record, monitor and regularly review individualised speech and language goals in relation to children's Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and the adults NDIS goals.
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, learning from and supporting all other team members, in order to best meet child and customer needs and priorities
