We have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic, passionate, and dedicated Regulatory Compliance Officer. Reporting to the GM, Regulatory Compliance & the General Counsel/Company Secretary, you will be supporting in areas of regulatory compliance including ASIC/ACNC reporting obligations, Whistleblowing, National Redress Scheme and Modern Slavery obligations.

What success looks like…

  • Develops and maintains compliance frameworks, processes and protocols for responding to regulatory compliance matters within the Company Secretary/GC portfolio under the supervision of GM Regulatory Compliance including ASIC/ACNC, Whistleblowing, Modern Slavery and National Redress matters
  • Proactively supports and co-ordinates the functions in each area to ensure the delivery of streamlined, timely and compliant activities
  • Assists with the review and implementation of Aruma policy and practice relating to Whistleblowing, Modern Slavery, National Redress Scheme and other regulatory compliance areas
  • Ensures strong partnerships with internal stakeholders are developed and maintained.
  • Provides technical advice and support to the team and stakeholders to ensure compliance with legislation relating to Regulatory compliance areas
  • Prepares high quality and accurate reports for whistleblowing, national redress, modern slavery and related areas

Skills and experience that make you stand out…

  • Formal qualifications in regulatory compliance, governance or risk management and/or relevant experience in similar role
  • A positive and contemporary attitude to people with a disability, their families, and carers
  • The ability to be flexible and agile
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and excellent customer service
  • Membership of a relevant professional association (eg Governance Institute of Australia)
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • Strong experience in a Governance or Regulatory Compliance role, ideally in the human services sector
  • Sound legislative knowledge and the ability to translate complex concepts into simple English
