About the position

We are currently seeking an inspiring and innovative Regional Manager to lead our portfolio of services in Victoria. Reporting to the General Manager of Children Services you will be responsible for the Victorian portfolio for Children, Young People and Families (CYF) and a team of managers. This position is accountable for the cultural, strategic and financial development of the Children's Services business area. This includes best practice leadership, innovation and growth. In addition, this role will actively grow the business by strengthening existing customer relationships while seeking new opportunities.

As a change champion you will lead a team of dedicated Support Managers, Project Officers and Administrators to success. Your customer centred approach and operational excellence will ensure organisational and customer outcomes are achieved.

  • Experience in dealing with concepts and complexity through the analysis of both successes and failures gaining insights for improvement
  • Demonstrated agility in assessing situations, flexible thought and style in order to match approach and actions to the demands of the situation
  • Demonstrated leadership skills; ability to proactively and supportively build, manage and develop individuals and teams
  • Demonstrated advanced advisory capabilities and commercial awareness through a deep understanding of customer, internal and external goals and objectives.
  • Evidence of business development skills through winning new work and customers.
  • Experience leading functions and teams during periods of change and growth
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills; ability to build rapport/sound working relationships and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Highly proficient management skills including:
  • Financial management - P&Ls, budgets, scheduling, multiple cost centres
  • Communication skills - business plans, management reports, interpreting metrics/analytics, presentations and networking
  • Highly efficient operating skills; timely decision making; priority setting; planning; organising; time management; delegation
  • Demonstrated strong critical and innovative thinking
  • Demonstrated integrity and trust displaying managerial courage

Essential Requirements

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in disability/community services/management or related field or relevant experience (7+ years in similar sector)
  • A minimum of 5+ years in a senior management and supervisory role
  • Experience with financial management and budget management
  • Experience in the development and implementation of business strategy
  • A commitment to the Code of Conduct of Aruma and high ethical standards
  • Demonstrated knowledge of NDIS funding model and processes
  • Current unrestricted driver's licence
  • Current National Police Certificate
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Victorian Disability Worker Exclusion Scheme
