Reporting to the Employee Experience & Insights Manager, the RAP Lead is responsible for the consultation, engagement and overall achievement of Aruma's RAP initiatives in our Innovate Plan. They will coordinate RAP activity, connecting with a range of stakeholders across the organisation, in order to ensure our RAP objectives are fulfilled.
This role is a permanent full time opportunity opened to candidates located in NSW, VIC, QLD or ACT.

A day in the life of Aruma's RAP Lead...
- Developing a project plan outlining the key deliverables identified in the RAP
- Initiating local working groups in identified areas e.g. Townsville, Armidale, and Sunshine Coast
- Engaging with local community members and networks
- Working with managers, key leaders and specialists to drive local ownership and embed RAP commitments
- Working with the Learning and Development team to source and implement cultural awareness training and other learning programs that support RAP objectives
- Coordinating and supporting annual NAIDOC and Annual Reconciliation week events
What you need to be successful in this role...
- You are of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander decent
- Tertiary qualified in Human Services, Project Management or a Human Services related field
- Significant experience or engagement with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island peoples or communities
- Ability to partner with individuals, communities and organisations from a strength based, culturally appropriate perspective
- Extensive knowledge of issues impacting on Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities in contemporary society and a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples
- Project management experience
