As our new IT Business Analyst you will support the Aruma IT Transformation Program; working closely with various business and IT Transformation functions to support the implementation of new systems and transition of existing systems to new systems.

You will be a flexible, pragmatic and a natural problem solver with strong communications skills, ability to engage stakeholders and a demonstrated ability to understand end to end business context, strategic objectives and rationale for decision making.

What success looks like:

The main focus of this role is to lead business and technical requirements gathering and process mapping activities on existing enterprise IT systems (current state) and transition to new systems (future state).

But you will also need to:

  • Use business analysis elicitation techniques to capture and understand As Is and To Be processes and perform Gap Analysis by engaging with Business and IT SME's
  • Strong understanding of core business systems with ability to perform problem gap analysis, develop functional and technical documentation and work with development teams to support implementation.
  • Hands-on, tracks and reports on progress and delivery against objectives
  • Collaborative team player with ability to think outside of the box

A day in the life of an IT Business Analyst...

  • Conduct gap analysis to determine functionality gaps between current and future systems
  • Lead and/or facilitate requirements gathering workshops to support information gathering across varying system or business improvement projects
  • Develop the transition plan (and all activities) to migrate staff from existing enterprise IT systems (current state) to new systems (future state)
  • Collaborate with Business and technical SME's to facilitate all stages of the requirements gathering/elicitation process
  • Lead various projects using Prince2 and/or Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Manage the project schedule, scope, budget and activities (MS Project)
  • Manage project risks and issues
  • Review, document and analyse complex business processes
  • Identify opportunities ongoing for improvement within processes, system data, reporting
  • Strong data analysis techniques and skills
  • Complete stakeholder impact assessments to determine the impact of changes in systems and processes on Aruma staff
  • Change management experience - develop change management plans

Skills that make you stand out...

  • 10+ years' experience as a Senior IT Business Analyst within the IT/Technology/ Transformation functions
  • Degree in Business and/or IT and/or relevant practical experience
  • Core systems business analysis experience (ERP, Finance, HR, CRM, Incident/Risk, Rostering etc)
  • Project Management experience
  • End to end functional and non-functional business analysis skills
  • Highly effective communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Workshop presentation and facilitation skills
  • Strong administration skills; time management, coordination of tasks
  • Excellent computer literacy and confidence and capability in using systems
  • Excellent stakeholder relationship building skills
  • Ability for interstate travel and flexible working across sites
  • Own transport & drivers' licence
