About the Role:

You will be part of a dynamic and inclusive business enterprise that provides opportunities for people with disabilities to be employed alongside other trade-skilled team members.

You will work alongside team leaders to assist supported employees to carry out gardening, cleaning, and general maintenance to maintain a wide variety of sites across the Gold Coast and Northern NSW region for our commercial clients. You will contribute to enhancing the lives of people with a disability and achieving agreed operational and financial goals of the Facility Services business.

We are keen to get started, so interviews will commence as applicants are identified!

What success looks like:

  • Supported employees were assisted to develop new skills and achieve employment goals
  • Tasks were completed consistent with scheduling requirements, contract specifications and instructions from team leaders
  • Accidents, injuries, and near misses were reported immediately. Hazards and risks were identified and acted upon or referred to the team leader for action in a timely manner.

Skills that make you stand out:

  • A trade and/or horticulture certificate or equivalent qualification; or equivalent knowledge and experience.
  • Problem solving and technical skills to address maintenance, contract and scheduling issues.
  • A high level of physical fitness to meet the manual handling requirements of the position.
  • Sound verbal and written communication. Sound negotiation skills, able to resolve conflict and assess when to escalate issues.
  • Sound organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload.
  • Valid current driver's license.
  • Working with Children Check/Blue Card.
  • White card, and understanding of WHS requirements
