We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and dedicated Financial Accountant. Great opportunity for a first time big 4 mover!

Reporting to a Finance Manager, you will be responsible for financial reporting obligations for Aruma legal entities. You will work with internal and external stakeholders such as government agencies, statutory auditors and the Australian Tax Office (ATO) to develop standard processes to facilitate accurate and timely completion of Aruma Group's financial and management reporting requirements.

What success looks like...

  • Accurate and timely completion of financial reporting obligations of Aruma Group.
  • Accurate and timely completion of management reports and balance sheet reconciliations within 7 business days of month end close.
  • Develop and implement standard operating processes to facilitate and monitor financial and management reporting for Aruma Group.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationship with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Continuous focus on process improvements and efficiencies.
  • Enhance compliance with Aruma internal control policies and audit requirements.

What you need to be successful in this role…

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting plus CA or CPA professional qualification, with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a Big Four accounting firm, large corporate or not for profit entity.
  • Experience with Australian Accounting Standards, especially AASB16.
  • Experience with implementing internal controls with the proven ability to develop relationships and build stakeholder engagement.
  • Excellent computer literacy including advanced Excel skills, and demonstrated numeracy and capability to use emerging technologies and IT systems.
  • Strong analytical, numeracy and literacy skills. Ability to diagnose process gaps and recommend solutions.
  • Excellent reporting skills with the ability to provide recommendations and corrective action plans
  • Collaborative mindset and interpersonal skills to work with a wide range of stakeholders.
