We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Business Analyst to provide 'real time' support and analysis, supporting the target-setting process to ensure strategic priorities are met, being a trusted adviser and providing insights and analyses that will enhance decision-making.

What success looks like…

  • Established as a trusted Business Analyst; marked by a high standard of professionalism, collaboration, customer service and responsive, value-add financial interpretations;
  • Effective fulfilment of the role of finance liaison or 'translator' between Operations and broader Finance;
  • Engaged and 'upskilled' stakeholder groups, resulting in improved financial and commercial organisational capability;
  • Demonstrated understanding of the strategy, key drivers of financial performance, organisational strengths and weaknesses, threats and growth opportunities;
  • Improved reporting, budgeting, forecast and scenario modelling;
  • Robust business analysis by optimising current financial models and/or tools, or recommending, designing and implementing new ones;

Skills and experience that make you stand out…

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field (e.g. MBA, Accounting, Finance, Business degree)
  • Professional accounting qualification is desirable (CA/CPA or equivalent)
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience working in a fast-paced and complex environment
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service and business improvement, with sound knowledge of best practice
  • Demonstrated ability to identify capability gaps and identify solutions through critical thinking and problem solving
  • Demonstrated ability to perform annual budgeting and quarterly reforecasting, financial modelling and meaningful variance analysis.
  • High level influencing, interpersonal and verbal communication skills including demonstrated skills in consultation, facilitation, negotiation, conflict resolution and capacity to represent Aruma internally and externally
  • Outstanding numeracy and analytical skills
  • Style to the audience and translate financial information effectively across a range of levels within the organisation
  • Ability to provide meaningful interpretation of data to Senior Management, make recommendations and develop action plans
  • Ideally located in the geographic region of the portfolio supported
  • An understanding of the NDIS framework and disability sector is desirable, but not a requirement
