We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Diversity and Inclusion Lead! Reporting to the Employee Experience & Insights Manager you will be responsible for the development and implementations of Aruma's diversity and inclusion strategy and initiatives linked to our organisational strategic objectives.

What success looks like…

  • Develop a contemporary and relevant organisational Diversity and Inclusion strategy and three-year plan
  • Review, update and secure organisational buy-in to the existing Diversity Policy. Ensure D&I elements are reflected in all relevant policies
  • Design, execute and evaluate activities and initiatives aligned with the Diversity and Inclusion strategy
  • Set organisational diversity and inclusion targets and report on these monthly
  • Coordinate, and implement and evaluate tasks and activities aligned to the Diversity and Inclusion strategy
  • Promote awareness, encourage employee involvement and design education and training initiatives in the area of diversity and inclusion
  • Provide training for line managers and the HR community on D&I and work with HR team to ensure all HR practices are inclusive
  • Evaluate progress on the current Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) Innovate
  • Develop a relationship with Reconciliation Australia and recommend to ELT and Board next stage of RAP
  • Coordinate RAP working group, to guide development of RAP, achieve reports on progress and lead internal communication

Skills and experience that make you stand out…

  • Masters Degree or post-graduate qualification: Studies or equivalent
  • Experience in a marketing or communications role
  • Degree qualification in Human Resources, Organisational Psychology or relevant field
  • Previous experience (min. 5 years) in a Diversity and Inclusion role responsible for organisational delivery of D&I
  • Previous leadership of a RAP for a significant organisation of 1000+ employees
  • Experience in a human services organisation
  • High level interpersonal and verbal communication skills including demonstrated skills in consultation, facilitation, negotiation and capacity to represent Aruma in external contexts
  • High level written communication skills, including the ability to prepare high quality written reports, policies, action plans correspondence and other documentation as required
  • Project management skills and experience
  • A current Australian driver's license and the ability to travel intra or interstate from time to time
