There are, however, a few boxes you will need to tick:

  • Enthusiastic about supporting people with disabilities to live great lives. The lives they want and choose, we are about putting the people we support first. That is non-negotiable
  • Qualification required for Level DDSO1Q; Cert IV in Disability preferred however not mandatory
  • Current Driver's Licence
  • Current First Aid Certificate with CPR
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to liaise at all levels
  • Service excellence with a proven ability to lead and continuously improve processes
  • Experienced leader in positive behaviour practices
  • Current Employee WWCC or willing to obtain (we are unable to accept a voluntary WWCC)

So, who is Aruma? We are glad you asked.

Aruma is a new name in disability services, but we are definitely not new. You might remember us as House with No Steps and The Tipping Foundation, two great organisations, with over 100 years of combined experience, who came together in 2018.

Successful applicants will be initially employed by the Department of Health and Human Services and managed by Aruma until employment transitions to Aruma as part of the Victorian transfer of Government Disability Services. Employment, salary, and benefits will be in accordance with Disability Services. Enterprise Agreement Victoria 2018 - 2022, classification Level DDSO1/1Q.
