We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Communications Officer to take ownership of all of Aruma's internal communications channels along with supporting the External Communications Manager as needed to source and write media releases and content for various external newsletters.

You will be working with the Internal Communications Manager to juggle multiple priorities, have a diverse mix of both internal and external communications, and write for a variety of different audiences.

What success looks like…

  • Aruma's internal communications channels are full of current, relevant and engaging content
  • There's an increase in readership and engagement across Aruma's internal communication channels
  • Work closely with the Internal Communications Manager to meet the needs of the organisation
  • Work with the External Communications Manager (as needed) to meet the needs of the organisation
  • Reports on all communications activities, identifies trends, and continuously makes improvements
  • Staff across the organisation say they value your communications expertise
  • Staff say you are an amazing Aruma brand champion
  • Work with the Internal Communications Manager, develop and implement internal communications plans to support the work of internal teams including HR, IT, Work Health and Safety, Customer Experience teams

Skills and experience that make you stand out…

  • Relevant qualification/s or 2-3+ years' experience, and proven track record of results
  • Experience in mentoring and supporting a junior staff member
  • Strong understanding of communication techniques and best practice principles
  • Strong verbal and writing skills, including ability to write for different audiences - internal (staff), customers, and media
  • Ability to build trusting relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of MailChimp, or similar online Marketing platform and a keen for data management
  • Highly motivated and can work autonomously as well as in a team environment
  • Ability to prioritise and be proactive
  • Must be capable of working under pressure, on multiple projects, and delivering to tight deadlines
  • Basic InDesign and Photoshop skills are favourable but not essential
