We are currently seeking a dynamic Commercial Manager who will drive commercial best practice across contract management, procurement, property, and fleet services for Aruma. This role is part of a new commercial team working actively across the organisation to unlock value and new opportunities.

What success looks like:

You will be responsible for supporting and enabling a best practice commercial function by establishing clear guidelines, tracking performance and driving accountability in results across the team and organisation. You will also:

  • Create and maintains commercial guidelines, policies and procedures for all related activities and promotes these across the business leveraging internal and external best practice.
  • Partnering with key external stakeholders, including legal advisors, and internal stakeholders to provide advice and coaching to build a strong commercial culture across the organisation.
  • Partnering with the property and fleet teams to prepare, manage and monitor budgets.
  • Data owner for property and fleet information, ensuring both financial and non-financial information is kept accurate and up to date.
  • Develop and recommend project proposals, investments, pricing and contract negotiations and tactics.
  • Reviews all relevant contracts, identifies risks and concerns making recommendations to improve outcomes for the organisation.
  • Tracks, monitors and reviews contract deliverables supporting the business to ensure all performance related metrics are achieved and risks mitigated.
  • Provides monthly and quarterly commercial reports.
  • Assesses and evaluates commercial feasibility on tenders and RFP's.
  • Provides business units with timely analysis and recommendations on fleet and property utilisation to improve customer outcomes and the organisation's profitability.

Skills that make you stand out:

Must haves…

  • MBA or Bachelor's level business management qualification.
  • CA/CPA Qualification.
  • Strong Commercial and Management Accounting experience (5+ years) in a fast-paced and complex environment
  • Flexibility in managing as a change champion in a significant transformation environment.
  • Ability to partner, coach and develop employees.
  • Demonstrated experience in contract management.
  • Data savvy with outstanding numeracy and analytical skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills in presenting results of commercial analyses.
  • Brilliant communicator in the preparation of high-quality written reports, policies, action plans correspondence and other documentation as required.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service and business improvement.
  • High level computer literacy in Microsoft 365 and financial software systems.
  • Drive innovation and best practice throughout the supply chain.
  • A Current Australian Driver's License.
