Client Engagement Coordinator - McCrae

Aruma

Aruma needs YOU (yes, you!)

If you are looking for a workplace that really values your contribution and gives you the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others, then look no further!

So, who is Aruma?

We're glad you asked! Aruma is a new name in disability services, but we're definitely not the new kids on the block. You might remember us as House with No Steps and The Tipping Foundation, two great organisations, with over 100 years of combined experience, who came together in 2018.

When you're part of the Aruma team, you're not just supporting people. You're pioneering new paths, challenging assumptions, daring to think differently, and telling society to raise its bar much higher.

We are currently seeking a Client Engagement Coordinator who is dedicated, reliable and passionate about leading a team of Support Workers in residential based disability programs.

So what's in it for you?

  • Satisfying work where you can support people to live fantastic lives and reach their goals
  • Each day is different from the next where you're constantly being challenged and learning
  • Variety of work settings and locations
  • Flexible working conditions
  • A supportive work environment
  • Professional development opportunities and pathways

The Role

The role will oversee the day to day operations in accordance with the NDIS Practice Standards. The position requires:

  • Working knowledge of roster development and implementation within a residential setting
  • Financial management, particularly understanding customer expenditure processes and accountabilities
  • Managing workforce issues including supervision, performance management, performance improvement plans, coaching and mentoring
  • Managing multiple work sites and teams, including facilitating team processes such as team meetings, training calendars and communicating with large work groups
  • Managing a variety of complex disability or related customer complexities, including an awareness of outcome measures used in the disability field
  • Knowledge of contemporary models of practice and/or evidenced based practice in the disability sector
  • Substantial working knowledge of the relevant legislation that governs disability practice in Victoria and safe workforce management, such as the NDIS Practice Standards

The Essentials:

  • National Disability Insurance Scheme Worker Screening Check (NDIS Screening Check)
  • Current Victorian Driver's License
  • Current Level 2 First Aid Certificate with CPR
  • International Police Check if applicable
  • Working with Children Check may be required if the role has direct contact with children
  • Advanced Diploma Disability Work, Bachelor of Applied Science (Disability) or other equivalent qualification

Our success depends on YOU. We'd love to hear your story.

If you are passionate about supporting people with disabilities to be active, inclusive participants in their communities and would like to work in a role that is both challenging and rewarding, we would love to hear from you.
