About the role

The Billing Administrator plays an integral role in processing all Billing including NDIS for Community and Employment. Assistance is provided to all operational management team members to assist them in establishing well-written documentation and data maintenance to support the end-to-end billing process. This ensures billing runs smoothly, maximising revenue for each billing cycle. The role has both an internal and external focus, with the establishment of a strong relationship with the NDIA and other community stakeholders being essential to ensure we respond to the changing environment proactively.

Daily Procedures

  • Commitment to work collaboratively with all stakeholders, developing strong working relationships to achieve the organisational goals assigned to the role
  • Strong administrative and time management skills demonstrating efficient work practices to manage multiple concurrent priorities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, demonstrating confidence and capability in the use of IT databases and MS Office (particularly Excel)
  • Excellent communication skills, able to adapt communication style and use effective negotiation and conflict management skills
  • A customer-centric approach, being responsive to ad-hoc requests.
  • Strong literacy, numeracy, and basic business acumen
  • Ability to work calmly in a fast-paced environment.

Skills and Experience

  • A commitment to the Code of Conduct of Aruma.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in a similar business context, and/ or equivalent skills and experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Disability Services sector and understanding of the NDIS Price Guide, working within NDIS legislation and provisions relating to reasonable and necessary supports, and the role of the mainstream service system
  • NDIS Worker Screening clearance
  • A confirmation record of COVID-19 vaccination (doses 1 & 2)
