If this sounds like a team you want to be part of, read on because we are on the lookout for a dynamic Accounts Payable Supervisor to be part of our Finance Team for a 12 months fixed term contract.

As our new Accounts Payable Supervisor, you will be supporting and managing the day to day activities of the Accounts Payable Team.

What success looks like...

  • Existing processes were streamlined by reviewing and implementing improvements across the Aruma Group, including identifying opportunities for automation (such as new ERP implementation).
  • Improvements to payables management reduced the number of payments runs per month. All invoices were entered by the Accounts teams with correct approvals and paid in line with terms.
  • All external party requests were responded to in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Develop and monitor KPI's for Accounts Payable teams, providing coaching and professional advice and support to team members and colleagues.
  • Provides day to day operational supervision of all Accounts Payable transactional processes. This includes new vendor set up, workplace requisition invoice process, manual invoice and Promaster transactions processing, maintenance of AP tracker, scheduled AP payment runs, supplier statement reconciliations, as well as end of month AP close process and reconciliation, and goods received not invoiced accruals.
  • Contribute to the process of continuous improvement.

Skills and experience that make you stand out...

  • Relevant qualifications or demonstrated competence (min 5 years) in related field.
  • Sound knowledge of accounting principles, finance systems and a sound knowledge of ATO-GST requirements and accepted general auditing standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to use initiative, set priorities and meet competing deadlines.
  • Excellent relationship supervisory skills, with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across a multi-faceted organisation and with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Excellent leadership ability and demonstrated experience in coaching and developing teams to manage change in times of transformation.
  • High-level computer literacy including advanced Excel, and capability to adapt quickly to new systems and technology.
  • Sound communication and influencing skills. Ability to use networks and negotiation skills to resolve complex or sensitive matters.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • A Current Australian Driver's License.
