Arts North West (ANW) is seeking a dynamic and experienced person to fill the position of Executive Director (ED). ANW is part of the network of 15 independent Regional Arts Development Organisations (RADOs) and is funded by Create NSW and the local government areas of Armidale Regional, Glen Innes Severn, Gunnedah, Gwydir, Inverell, Liverpool Plains, Moree, Narrabri, Tamworth Regional, Tenterfield, Uralla and Walcha.
The ED’s role is to facilitate the development of arts and cultural projects and initiatives across the region, building a rich cultural landscape in the New England North West and increasing participation in arts and cultural activities. ANW plays a vital role in building cultural community capacity, through advice and advocacy, through substantial professional development provision and with the forging of key partnerships and networks throughout the region.
We place organisational emphasis on ensuring equity in our support and development, including working with our First Nations communities through Aboriginal-developed and led projects and programs following cultural protocols, people with disability, our ageing population, diverse cultural communities, and aspiring and emerging creatives in all genres.
