Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Foundation and the coordination of the support it offers to medical researchers, nurses, patients and their carers. While being hands on in the office, a major part of your role will be focused on developing a long-term strategy for the organisation that includes an innovative sustainable funding model.

All our day-to-day administration is managed by three part-time staff: The Chief Executive Officer, a Communications Manager and a Programs & Scholarships Coordinator.

Our mission is to improve the survival and quality of life for patients with blood diseases treatable by bone marrow and blood stem cell transplants and provide support for their carers in Australia

This role is a part-time permanent position. The successful applicant will have the autonomy and flexibility to vary their working week. The board is envisaging three or four days a week.

This role is located at Arrow House, 16 Leichhardt Street, Darlinghurst NSW 2010 but flexibility including working remotely in this current climate is actively encouraged.

We are seeking a CEO with the following attributes:

  • Dynamism, vision, passion and the drive to help develop the Foundation’s organisational strategy and achieve the Foundation’s mission
  • The ability to lead and inspire a team
  • The ability to maintain existing relationships and build new alliance

Salary to be negotiated commensurate with experience and working hours.
