About the role

ARRCS Rocky Ridge Aged Care Facility is located in Katherine NT, 3 hours’ drive from Darwin. You’ll hear any number of dialects spoken at our Rocky Ridge Nursing Home in Katherine, with people from across East Arnhem Land and the Northern End of the Tanami Desert calling it home. At Rocky Ridge, there are 25 permanent beds, plus two respite beds and a memory support unit. We embrace all cultures and work to support the spiritual and emotional wellbeing of all our residents with respect to their individual beliefs.

We have 2 full time permanent opportunities for experienced RN's to join our team at Rocky Ridge Aged Care Facility. Reporting to the Service Manager, this is a key role within the team and will provide leadership and clinical advice to Enrolled Nurse and Personal Care Assistant staff whilst providing quality care to our aged care residents. 

Skills and experience

  • Bachelor Degree in Nursing
  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • 2+ years clinical experience, ideally within an aged care facility
  • Advanced working knowledge of contemporary nursing practice
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills including experience supervising small teams
  • Practical knowledge and experience undertaking clinical assessments and developing appropriate care plans
  • An ability to undertake manual handling
  • Must have a current National Police Check, OCHRE card, 2020 influenza vaccination and NT Drivers’ License or a willingness to obtain prior to commencing
