About the role

ARRCS now have a casual position available in Alice Springs for a hospitality all-rounder (cleaner/kitchen hand/laundry assistant) to work with our Alice Springs Community Care and Centre Aged Care facility teams. In this role you will provide cleaning, laundry and kitchen services so a food handlers safety certificate is a must.

To join our facilities during a period of change and reform across our 3 facilities in Alice Springs including Old Timers Village, Flynn Lodge and Hetti Perkins Home for the Aged. These opportunities will suit committed people who have care and compassion and enjoy interacting with our consumers within our facilities. As the ideal candidate you will be caring and understanding that you will interact in a meaningful way to those living within Aged Care facility.

Skills & experience 

  • Demonstrated experience in similar positions
  • Ability to manage and work within a culturally diverse team environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • An ability to undertake a range of manual handling functions related to the role
  • Food Handlers Safety Certificate
  • A Certificate Level 3 in Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability or Home and Community Care is highly desirable
