About the role

Located in Palmerston, Terrace Gardens is an 88-bed residential aged care home with a welcoming feel with a peaceful atmosphere. At Terrace Gardens, we recognise the importance of family and community connections and we actively support cultural customs, beliefs and practices and incorporate those into our care for residents, in accordance with industry best practice.

We have a casual opportunity for an experienced EN to join our team at Terrace Gardens Aged Care Facility. Reporting to the Service Manager, this is a key role within the team and will provide leadership and clinical advice to the Personal Care staff whilst providing quality care to our aged care residents.

Skills and experience

  • Diploma of Nursing and AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • 2+ years clinical experience, ideally within an aged care facility
  • Advanced working knowledge of contemporary nursing practice
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills including experience supervising small teams
  • Practical knowledge and experience undertaking clinical assessments and developing appropriate care plans
  • An ability to undertake manual handling
  • Must have a current National Police Check, OCHRE card, Flu Vaccination and NT Drivers’ License or a willingness to obtain prior to commencing
