About the role

The primary role of the employment consultant is to work closely with each participant utilising a place based, strengths based approach to caseload management and support them to achieve their identified goals. The employment consultant will be the first point of contact for all participants engaging in an ALPA Community Development Program service and will provide a high level of individualised service to each participant.

This position is based in a remote community in Arnhem Land, Northern Territory.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver an individualised service to each participant addressing each of their barriers individually
  • Work with each participant in a culturally appropriate strengths-based model that supports them to achieve their goals
  • Ensure that all program guidelines are met relating to service delivery
  • Ensure that key performance measured are addressed
  • Undertake post placement support with the participants and support them to maintain those positions

Skills and Experience

  • Qualification in Community Services is highly desirable and or relevant experience
  • Previous experience working with the ECSN system
  • Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team
  • Ability to work culturally appropriately with local staff
  • Proven experience in achieving KPI’s
  • Thorough knowledge of the current CDP contract
