This socially good cause is looking to make a difference by connecting people with mental health and well-being support online. They’re doing this through clever technology in a way that enables their customers to quickly access the support they need. Backed for a larger not-for-profit, they have a busy roadmap of new features for their app for the year ahead and are looking for a Full Stack Developer to help them.

About the role:

This position is as a Full Stack Developer and will be working to build products that help people find mental health support. It enables the customer to take the first step of their journey into seeking help. People on the app are able to search on a variety of factors like location, specialisation, language etc and drill down to the service that will best help them.

On the roadmap for the next 12 months are projects to improve Search, API Integration, Payments and Customisation. They’re also looking at smaller updates and customisations day to day too.

Your day might involve:

• Collaborating with technical and non-technical team members to match customer needs with technical solutions, including participating in solutions architecture
• Helping define the product’s roadmap
• Clearly specifying requirements, and prototyping new ideas and components
• Liaising with an external development team
• Building new components and resolve bugs and issues
• Ensuring the platform’s quality and cross browser full-scale testing

About you:

Keen to drive the platform in a new direction, you can think analytically about potential solutions. You have experience working with an external development team to work through design options and ensure delivery of a quality tested solution. Having experience as full stack developer, you can design and code JavaScript/Angular front-end solutions.

Working in a collaborative upbeat small team, you like to share ideas, have a willingness to learn and you’re happy to help other team members out where needed. Up to date with best practices surrounding front end development (JavaScript, HTML, CSS), you’ll have a good handle on programming concepts, data structures and best approaches to testing.

Wanting to make a difference in society, you’ll be an optimistic can-do sort of person keen to join a start-up socially good cause.

Requirements:

• Experience coordinating/managing internal or external development teams
• Strong background in JavaScript or Typescript, ideally using a modern JS framework (Angular ideally)
• A strong understanding leading UI design, HTTP and interacting with 3rd party APIs
• Worked in cloud-based AWS/Firebase environments would be an added plus
