IT Support and System Administration Officer


About Us

ARMIA is a not-for profit organisation operating in Sunnybank, SE QLD. We provide a wide range of services, activities and programs including (but not limited to) Multicultural Communities’ and Disability Services to holistically empower the “forgotten ones”, mostly New Australians who struggle to integrate even after many years in Australia, as well as disadvantaged mainstream and indigenous persons. We strive to remove fit men and women from endless welfare dependency and support most vulnerable members in the community.

About the role

IT Support and System Administration Officer position is part of the Business Initiatives Program managed by the Foundation Director.

You shall work Mondays to Fridays from 9am to 5pm.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Coordinating all ARMIA IT systems:
    • Looking after all the computers and printers
    • Monitoring the email system
    • Leading the installation of new server
    • Monitoring the telephone system in collaboration with ITS
    • Ensuring the surveillance system is always fully operational including on Protais mobile phone
    • Managing all the passwords as required
    • Regularly updating all the systems/softwares as required
    • Others as they arise
  • Managing the ARMIA website in consultation with the Foundation Director
  • Managing the overall Metcare and liaise with all the workers as appropriate. Liaise with provider “Umantec” team as required
  • Marketing ARMIA Services on various social media  
  • Providing weekly 30-minute updates, written monthly report to the Business Initiatives Manager
