Who We Are:

AQA provides support to people with physical disabilities, specializing in spinal cord injuries. AQA provides information, peer support, planning and services in environments and communities of choice, in order to support people to maintain independent lives.

What This Role Is:

This new and innovative role has been created to support the launch and ongoing coordination of AQA's Living Well Project.

Our aim is to develop sustainable community, residential and online programs of peer-led 'Skills for Independence and Life' programs for people in Australia with a spinal cord injury (SCI) or similar physical disability. The Living Well Project will be offering a tailored approach to skill development in addressing issues such as reduced sense of value, purpose, lower life aspirations, health and emotional wellbeing. The project aims to increase capacity to develop interventions by building a network of competent and skilled peer trainers and leaders to deliver activities to people living with SCI and/or physical disability to increase their capacity for community and social participation.

By providing a supportive and immersive learning environment, we will enable participants to build
confidence and independence in a variety of life skills relevant to their goals, helping to expand their understanding of what is possible.

As the Administration Support Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing administrative support and coordination to the project partners, employees and other related parties. Other responsibilities will include:

  • Develop, review and prepare reports and document outcomes.
  • Coordinate administration systems
  • Coordinate the scheduling of activities, trainers and other stakeholders
  • Schedule meetings and provide support in meetings as required (calendar management, taking minutes, etc.)
  • Coordinate equipment and material requirements for events

What Are We Looking For:

We require 2 part time Administration Support Coordinators to manage and resource our growth as the projects and other activities develop.

We strongly encourage those with lived experience with a spinal cord injury or physical disability to apply.

The salary is negotiable dependent on the successful applicant's experience and skills.
