• Full time (5 months, with possibility of an extension)
• Location: Office based in Shepparton (3A Nixon St, Alaya House)

THE ROLE:

APMHA Healthcare Ltd (APMHA) is seeking a passionate individual with experience working in mental health to be part of our HeadtoHelp service, a program newly funded by Murray PHN. The Mental Health Clinician will have relevant tertiary qualifications in Mental Health Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Social Work or Psychology and registration with AHPRA/AASW.

The position will ensure high quality, flexible and holistic support is provided to people who may be experiencing psychological distress or mental ill-health, including evidence-based treatment for mental illness and Alcohol and other Drug (AOD) issues in the Goulburn Valley area of Victoria (Murray PHN region).

THE CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Mental Health Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Social Work or Psychology and registration with AHPRA/AASW
• Mental health endorsements, or eligible to apply for same
• Experience working with people with mental illness (minimum 2 years) across a broad range of acuity
• High levels of emotional intelligence and the ability to engage and work independently, as part of a multidisciplinary team and with other stakeholders
• Ability to embrace new programs and be flexible and adaptive.
