The Australian Paramedics Association (NSW) is a trade union representing the industrial and professional interests of paramedics and paramedic support staff employed by the NSW Ambulance.

The Association is seeking an Administrative Officer to work as part of our team on a permanent part-time basis for 15 hours per week (there may be an opportunity for increased hours in the future).

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Carrying out general administration tasks on behalf of the APA (NSW) team;
• Updating and maintaining APA (NSW) member databases;
• Managing incoming and outgoing mail
• Assisting with organisation of travel, accommodation, catering and venues;
• Assisting with the organisation and management of events and workshops;
• Communicating and liaising with 3rd party suppliers;
• Assisting members with basic enquiries related to their membership details
• Effectively and appropriately use workplace information systems (including filing, internet, email and electronic calendar).

Essential Experience & Qualifications

The successful candidate must have:

• A commitment to trade union values
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• A high level of initiative and sound organisational skills
• A demonstrated capacity for attention to detail
• An ability to work effectively as a member of a small team
• Proficient computer skills

Desired Experience & Qualifications

• Current driver’s licence
• Previous administrative experience
