ANZRP advocates for improvements within current product stewardship programs and for an expanded scheme to include all electronic and electrical equipment.

Established by ANZRP, the TechCollect program provides Australian and New Zealand households and businesses with a free and easy way to responsibly dispose of and recycle their e-waste. With over 180,000 tonnes of e-waste being recycled since its inception, TechCollect is an established program delivering significant environmental, social and economic benefits to the Australian community.

THE OPPORTUNITY

This newly created role is responsible for the day-to-day coordination and implementation of tasks relating to ANZRP’s initiatives involving the development and launch of marketing campaigns, new business development and project coordination.

Reporting to the National Communications & Engagement Manager, the role focuses on the implementation of ANZRP’s, TechCollect and WeCollect business development activities to facilitate the commercialisation of innovative and responsible e-waste management and recycling.

THE ROLE ENCOMPASSES

  • Assisting with the creation of business development opportunities, projects, initiatives and tender response documentation to support WeCollect, TechCollect and ANZRP
  • Coordination and execution of specific projects, with internal and external stakeholders
  • Stakeholder engagement
  • Production and distribution of communications
  • Assist the development of marketing/communications to promote and generate engagement for WeCollect, TechCollect and ANZRP
  • The delivery of e-waste market awareness and new business initiatives aimed at federal, state and local government authorities, industry peak bodies, the business sector and wider community
  • Report writing, project management, day-to-day updating of communications channels.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in marketing, communications or similar
  • Excellent written and interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate accurately
  • Marketing and communications (including social media)
  • Understanding of project management principles
  • Business development
  • Time management and organisation
  • Record keeping and administrative
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of design packages such as Photoshop and InDesign (advantageous)
  • Sound analytical ability
