These positions would suit students, those seeking to return to work after parenting breaks, those who have recently become unemployed due to COVID 19, or those seeking additional experience, work or income in the family violence sector. Annie North is currently acting as an Essential Service family violence response operating within COVID 19 policies and procedures, and has suspended face to face service provision. However, all applicants must meet the criteria for face to face responses in the future.

Family Violence On-Call Staff

Annie North Inc. is seeking to recruit to a team of On-Call Workers to participate in our After-Hours Crisis Response to women and children experiencing domestic or family violence throughout the Loddon Region. After-hours is 5pm to 9am and all hours Saturdays and Sundays. Rosters can be flexible. For example, you may be able to work nights but not weekends, or some weekends and not nights.

Applicants must be able to be physically recalled and willing to travel to various police stations or other safe places such as hospitals or medical centres in the Loddon Region at short notice and transport women and children to refuge or other crisis accommodation.

Their role is to provide support, crisis intervention, transport and material relief to these families. Training, supervision, support, vehicle and phone are provided.

Family Violence Client Support Worker – Casual Relief, Business and After-Hours

These positions provide back-fill when other Client Support Workers or Case Managers cannot attend their regular rostered shifts. Business Hours opportunities exist along with After- Hours including weekends. After-Hours may be filling in any shift from 4pm to 11pm and 8am to 9am Monday to Friday; or on Saturdays and Sundays 9am to 5pm or 4pm to 11pm with sleepover between 11pm and 8am. Penalty rates apply.

Applicants must obtain a position description and address the key selection criteria, have a National Police Check dated within 12 months, and a Working With Children Check. They must have a licence to drive a car in Victoria with no passenger restrictions. Applicants for the on-call positions must reside or while they are on-call be within a 40 minute travel time from the Bendigo GPO to ensure a timely response to a family violence crisis.

Remuneration is according to the SCHCADS Award and Annie North Collective Agreement.
